Senior Attorney – Criminal Defense & Certified Notary Public
Partner at Díaz & Jonson Attorneys at Law
Silvie Slosarova is a distinguished criminal defense attorney, licensed Florida Notary Public, and a rising voice in international legal advocacy. With over a decade of courtroom experience and a lifelong dedication to justice, she represents the fusion of European legal tradition and American criminal law expertise.
Her work is guided by principle, precision, and relentless commitment to the protection of individual rights. Whether defending a client in a complex felony case or assisting with multilingual legal documentation, Silvie brings not only legal mastery but also empathy, cultural awareness, and strategic clarity.
Silvie was born in Prague, Czech Republic, in 1984, during the final years of the Cold War. Growing up in a post-communist society taught her the importance of civil liberties and the dangers of unchecked authority. Inspired by her family’s strong values and a keen sense of justice, she began pursuing law at an early age.
Her journey led her from the historic classrooms of Charles University—the oldest university in Central Europe—to the dynamic legal landscape of the United States. At age 24, Silvie moved to Florida to continue her studies and build a career rooted in both international understanding and American legal practice.
Silvie first obtained her Law Degree from Charles University Faculty of Law in Prague, where she graduated with honors, focusing on criminal procedure and international human rights. After relocating to the United States, she enrolled at Florida International University (FIU) College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) and was quickly recognized as a standout student.
At FIU, she distinguished herself in trial advocacy and comparative legal systems. She also contributed to research on the cross-border implications of criminal convictions—experience that would later become central to her U.S. legal practice.
In addition, Silvie is a licensed Notary Public in the State of Florida, offering bilingual (English–Czech–Spanish) notarial services and legal certifications with full compliance for state and federal documentation.
Silvie Slosarova leads the Criminal Defense Division at Díaz & Jonson Attorneys at Law, where she represents clients in a wide range of legal matters. Known for her sharp courtroom instincts, methodical case preparation, and compassionate client care, Silvie has built a strong reputation as a fearless and effective advocate.
Her areas of specialization include:
Felony and misdemeanor defense
Violent crime and weapon charges
White-collar crimes and financial fraud
Drug possession, trafficking, and conspiracy cases
Driving under the influence (DUI) and license restoration
Domestic violence defense
Immigration-related criminal representation (crimmigration)
Juvenile defense and minor protection
Expungement and sealing of criminal records
Criminal appeals and post-conviction relief
She has also represented non-citizen clients at risk of deportation due to criminal charges, providing tailored strategies that consider both state law and federal immigration consequences.
Silvie has handled numerous high-stakes and sensitive cases with success, including:
Defending a foreign national accused of drug trafficking, resulting in full acquittal based on evidentiary suppression.
Securing the dismissal of domestic violence charges against a working mother after proving prosecutorial misconduct and lack of probable cause.
Representing a Czech executive arrested at Miami International Airport under an Interpol notice, and successfully arguing for non-extradition.
Advising clients in white-collar investigations that resulted in no charges filed after early intervention and negotiation with prosecutors.
Her calm under pressure, analytical depth, and multilingual communication skills have been praised by both clients and colleagues.
Thanks to her unique background, Silvie is frequently consulted on international legal matters, particularly where European citizens are involved in the U.S. criminal justice system. She has worked with consulates, international legal advisors, and foreign legal observers, helping bridge the gap between legal systems.
She is fluent in Czech, English, and Spanish, and offers culturally sensitive representation to clients from all backgrounds — including Eastern Europe, Latin America, and immigrant communities across Florida.
Silvie regularly gives talks on comparative criminal justice, civil liberties, and gender issues in the legal system. She is a volunteer with pro bono defense initiatives and contributes time to youth education programs on the rights of the accused and the importance of legal literacy.
Her goal is not just to defend — but to educate, empower, and equip people with the tools to navigate the legal system with dignity.
Outside of her legal work, Silvie Slosarova is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, and in her free time, she pursues one of her earliest passions: modeling. She has participated in cultural fashion events and lifestyle campaigns across Miami and Prague, using her public presence to challenge stereotypes about women in law and leadership.
Silvie believes that strength and elegance are not mutually exclusive — and that attorneys, like all professionals, can break boundaries, lead by example, and live authentically.
Today, as a Senior Partner at Díaz & Jonson Attorneys at Law, Silvie continues to lead with intellect, empathy, and international expertise. She is a vital part of the firm’s mission to deliver powerful, principled, and personal representation.
Whether she’s inside the courtroom or advocating in the community, Silvie Slosarova stands as a powerful example of what it means to defend justice — fearlessly, fluently, and globally.
